School
David continued his freshman year in the dorms for the Spring. But, his room-mate was an interesting character. He decided the dorms weren't for him, so we moved him into an apartment in the Fall for his junior year.
Lauren was in her finished her junior year in the Spring and began her Senior year in high school in the Fall.
I was still on the long-range plan in my doctoral program.
Travels
Gator Bowl
We began the new year in Florida for University of Louisville's Gator Bowl game on
January 2. This was one of the few times that Lauren and I joined you boys for sports, but we weren't going to miss out on Florida. :) This was our big trip for this year.
Big East Conference
This was the first year that U of L was in the Big East Conference. As we had just gone to Florida and the conference was in its infancy, you and David skipped the conference in March this year. You did go to the NCAA Hall of Champions in Indianapolis over the June 22-23 weekend.
Concerts
You and David went to the Pavilion in Cincinnati to see Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers on June 23 and Lynyrd Skynard on June 25.
Cleveland
We went as a family to Cleveland over the July 4th holiday. On Monday, July 3, we toured the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Then, we took in the fireworks in a different city and traveled home.
Gatlinburg
We went back to Gatlinburg at the front of November to see the sights in that season.
I am a school counselor turned counselor educator, professor, and author helping educators and parents to build social, emotional, and academic growth in ALL kids! The school counseling blog delivers both advocacy as well as strategies to help you deliver your best school counseling program.
I'm a mother, grandmother, professor, author, and wife (I'll always be his). Until October 20, 2020, I lived with my husband, Robert (Bob) Rose, in Louisville, Ky. On that awful day of October 20,2020, my life profoundly changed, when this amazing man went on to Heaven. After Bob moved to Heaven, I embraced my love of writing as an outlet for grief. Hence, the Grief Blog is my attempt to share what I learned as a Counselor in education with what I am learning through this experience of walking this earth without him. My mission is to help those in grief move forward to see joy beyond this most painful time.
